Modric endured a difficult season in La Liga last time out and speculation in Spain had suggested Real could be open to a sale, but Ancelotti insists the 27-year-old will not be leaving the Bernabeu. "It is not true that Luka will leave. All the players are very happy to be here and working well," said the Italian. "We have not spoken about any player leaving; it's not true Modric will leave." Modric had also been mentioned as a potential make-weight in a deal for Tottenham's Gareth Bale, but Ancelotti seems keen to insist that he has no intention of allowing the player leave.
